Lamborghini is set to unveil its first all-electric GT model, the Lanzador, in 2028. This “Ultra-GT EV” is positioned as an innovative model that blends sports car performance with everyday practicality.

The Lanzador’s exterior incorporates design elements from the 2015 Asterion GT hybrid concept while also drawing features from the Urus SUV. The front features large air intakes and slim headlights, and its cab-forward profile has a distinctive style with the windshield positioned over the front axle. The rear is equipped with six red oval lights, setting it apart from the Revuelto’s design. With a total height of approximately 152 centimeters, the vehicle’s ride height is slightly elevated due to the placement of the battery pack.

The Lanzador is equipped with a high-output electric motor on both the front and rear axles, delivering a combined output of 1 megawatt (approximately 1,340 horsepower). Active torque management provides stable performance with all-wheel drive. Some information suggests the possibility of reaching up to 2,000 horsepower, potentially making it the most powerful model in Lamborghini’s history. The Lanzador utilizes a new high-performance platform shared with Volkswagen Group brands like Bentley, Porsche, and Audi.

The interior design draws inspiration from past Lamborghini models and spacecraft, offering a cockpit that makes the driver feel like a pilot. It features a 2+2 seating layout, with the rear seats capable of accommodating sports equipment or other storage. There’s a frunk (front trunk) at the front, and a large glass tailgate opens wide at the rear. The rear seats are adjustable, allowing for flexible expansion of the luggage compartment.

The dashboard is slimmed down and lightweight, and the center console features a distinctive Y-shaped motif. An entertainment and climate control panel, dubbed the “Pilot Unit,” is strategically placed, with the screen automatically retracting in specific drive modes. The seats, door panels, and dashboard are upholstered in sustainable Italian merino wool, accented with recycled material stitching. Even the seat cushions are made from 3D-printed recycled fibers, highlighting the commitment to sustainable material choices.

Initially, the Lanzador was scheduled for release in 2028, but the latest information indicates its launch has been postponed to 2029.

This model will be a crucial symbol of Lamborghini’s future as part of the brand’s electrification strategy!
