Born as Simca 8 in 1948, the car was subsequently imported in the sixties to Holland where Havas decided to make it an aluminum barchetta to race the 1000cc categories. Originally equipped with the Simca 1100 engine, when the class regulations changed in the 60s, the Ford 105 E was mounted to remain within the parameters of the imposed displacement of less than one liter.
