The Opel Astra 3.0 was built in 1994 by Snobeck Racing for Opel Motorsport and has participated in
various editions of the Andros Trophy, as well as various dirt and ice competitions.
In 1996 Markku Alen (World Rally Champion) in Opel Astra paired with Frenchman Eric Hélary
won the famous 24 Hours of Chamonix. The car also took part in the 1997 Ovied Rally in Spain.
