As a performance-enhanced version of the Aston Martin V8, the V8 Vantage was launched in 1977. Externally, it was recognisable by its deep front spoiler, a covered radiator grille with auxiliary headlights, a spoiler integrated into the tailgate and wider tyres. Optimized engines up to the X-Pack specification from 1986 onwards offered performance of up to 438 hp.

It was converted from right-hand drive to left-hand drive in the course of an extremely complex and fully documented complete restoration at the Aston Martin factory. As part of the rebuild, which cost around 350,000 Euros, modern modifications were installed in order to increase its capability for everyday use. The vehicle was part of an important European Aston Martin collection.
